Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 6 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use pewpew.pt, including people who browse with a screen reader, the keyboard only, magnification or reduced motion. This statement says what we aim for, what we know still falls short and how to tell us about a problem.
1. Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard behind the European accessibility standard EN 301 549. PEW PEW is a microenterprise and, as a service provider, may be exempt from Portuguese Decree-Law 82/2022, which transposes the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882, Article 4(5)). We follow these requirements voluntarily, because a site that works for more people is a better site.
2. Conformance status
The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: most of it meets the standard, and the parts below do not yet fully meet it.
3. What we do
- Pages in English and Portuguese, each with its language declared, a logical heading structure and text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Links, buttons and forms work with the keyboard, with a visible focus indicator. Our own form controls (checkboxes, selectors and the date picker) are built to be used with the keyboard and to expose their state to assistive technologies.
- If your system asks for reduced motion, we tone the animations down: moving text becomes a fade.
- No CAPTCHAs: forms are protected without asking you to solve puzzles.
- Prices, totals, VAT and the steps of checkout are written out in text, not only in images or colour.
4. Known limitations
- Some portfolio videos have no captions or audio description. Ask us and we will describe the content.
- Some photographs of gear and projects have generic text alternatives (the product or project name).
- The map on the contacts page is a visual aid; the address is also given in text right next to it.
- Payment windows from Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay are run by those companies and are outside our control.
- Rental agreements and other PDF documents we send may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We can send them in another format on request.
5. Tell us about a problem
If something on the site does not work for you, or you need information in another format, write to contact@pewpew.pt or call +351 969 784 500, telling us the page and what happened. We reply as soon as possible and offer an alternative, by email, by phone or in person at the studio. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can use the Portuguese electronic complaints book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
6. How this statement was prepared
It was prepared on 6 October 2026 from a self-assessment of the current version of the site by our team. It has not been audited by an external entity. We review it when we make significant changes to the site.
