Blackmagic Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G

This Mini Converter moves SDI onto optical fibre and back again in both directions at once: SDI in goes out on the fibre, and fibre in comes back out on SDI. The SDI side is multi-rate 12G, covering SD, HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p60 with Level A and B devices, and the optical side is a standard SFP socket. Our units have a NovaStar SFP optical module fitted, with LC fibre connections. Converters are normally used in pairs, one at each end of a fibre, for camera, multiview or programme feeds over distances coax cannot reach, such as between a stage and a control room in another building. Each unit can carry a return feed at the same time. The fibre must match the module type, single-mode or multimode. It runs from the supplied 12 V adapter, accepts 6 to 36 V DC and draws about 2 W.
