Sony XLR-H1 XLR Handle Unit (FX3/FX30)

Sony's XLR-H1 is the top handle and audio unit for the FX3 and FX30. It adds two full-size XLR/TRS combo inputs with 48V phantom power plus a 3.5 mm mic input, and passes audio to the camera digitally through the Multi Interface Shoe, so it needs no cables or batteries of its own. With it, the camera can record 24-bit, 4-channel audio. Level dials and input controls sit on the side behind protective covers, and the handle has a shotgun mic holder and three 1/4"-20 threads for a monitor, light or receiver. It fixes to the shoe with two screws and weighs about 305 g. Monitor through the camera's headphone jack: the handle itself has no headphone output.
