A 100 m duplex run of OM3 multimode fibre (50/125 µm) terminated LC/UPC at both ends, with steel-tape armour under a black LSZH jacket. OM3 is laser-optimised for 850 nm optics, and 10GBASE-SR is specified to 300 m on OM3, so this length works for 1G and 10G links with SX or SR transceivers. Use it to link a remote switch, a commentary position or a second stage back to the main rack once copper's 100 m limit runs out. It needs multimode SFP or SFP+ modules at both ends, so check that any SDI fibre converter on the link has multimode optics fitted.
