This drum holds 150 m of armoured OM3 duplex fibre: two 50/125 µm multimode strands with LC/UPC connectors at each end, protected by steel tape under a low-smoke, zero-halogen jacket. At 150 m it sits comfortably inside the 300 m that 10GBASE-SR allows on OM3. A common job is a 10G backbone between two switches across an arena or exhibition hall, or a gigabit link out to a remote camera, encoder or ticketing position. Fit 850 nm multimode SFP or SFP+ optics at both ends; single-mode modules, in a switch or an SDI converter, need single-mode fibre instead.
