The Archer AX72 Pro is TP-Link's AX5400 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router: up to 4804 Mbps on 5 GHz with 160 MHz channels and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Six fixed antennas with beamforming, 4x4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA share the air between many clients, and security runs up to WPA3 and WPA2-Enterprise. Wired ports are one 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN, one Gigabit WAN/LAN and three Gigabit LAN, plus a USB 3.0 port, and it runs from a 12 V 2.5 A adapter.
Switched to Access Point mode, it leaves routing and DHCP to the main event router and simply adds Wi-Fi where crew, tablets, scoring devices or guests need it, cabled back to the production switch. The 2.5 Gbps port gives it a multi-gig uplink.
