About this gear
The Mini Converter SDI to Audio de-embeds audio from an SDI signal. It extracts four channels of balanced analogue audio or eight channels of AES/EBU digital audio from SD, HD or 3G-SDI video up to 1080p60 and outputs them on four 6.3 mm jacks. Switches on the unit select analogue or AES/EBU output and which group of embedded channels is extracted. It has a main SDI input, an ALT SDI input for automatic failover, an SDI loop output and USB for setup.
Use it to pull a programme or commentary mix off a camera, switcher or recorder feed and send it to a mixing console, PA, recorder or interpretation booth, or to check what is embedded on an incoming feed. The SDI loop output passes the video on, so the converter can sit in line without breaking the chain.
