About this gear
The LD Systems Maui 28 G2 is an active column PA. A bass-reflex subwoofer with two 8" woofers carries a two-piece aluminium column with sixteen 3" full-range drivers and two 1" neodymium tweeters on a BEM-optimised waveguide. A Class-D amplifier rated at 1000 W RMS (2000 W peak) and LD Systems' DynX DSP (multiband limiter, EQ, compressor and 3-way crossover) take it to 126 dB peak SPL, with a 45 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and 120° x 20° dispersion. The column elements plug into each other and into the subwoofer through multi-pin connectors, so there are no speaker cables or stands to set up. Assembled, it stands 2.06 m tall and weighs 30.9 kg.
The subwoofer has a 4-channel mixer on the back: a microphone input on an XLR/jack combo, a Hi-Z instrument input, a stereo line input on XLR/jack combo and RCA, and Bluetooth 4.2 streaming or a 3.5 mm jack for playback, with 3-band EQ, presets for mono or stereo use and digital effects. A sub out and a system out on XLR link a second unit, and we have two, so they can run as a stereo pair.
On productions it covers speeches, panels, presentations, DJ sets and acoustic performances in small and medium rooms, and works as a stage monitor for presenters and musicians.

Questions about this gear
Not for simple setups. The subwoofer has a microphone input, an instrument input, a stereo line input and Bluetooth, with level, EQ and effects. For more than one microphone, connect a mixer to the line input.
Yes, we have two units. Feed each one from a mixer output or link them through the XLR system out, and set each unit to the stereo preset.
The subwoofer goes in its padded cover and both column elements fit in one padded shoulder bag, so the whole system fits in the boot of a car.
The mains power cable is included. Microphones, XLR cables and a mixer are rented separately, and we can put together a complete sound kit for your event.
