About this gear
A Neewer C-stand in stainless steel with a folding three-leg base, a telescopic riser column, an extension arm (giraffe) and two grip heads. The grip heads lock the arm at any angle and hold flags, reflector frames, poles or clamps, while the 1/4" and 3/8" threads on the arm take a light directly.
C-stands are the default grip stand on set: the arm lets a light, flag or bounce reach out over the action without the stand creeping into frame, and the low base is easy to weigh down. Put a sandbag on the leg under the load whenever the arm is extended, and keep the grip heads turned so gravity tightens them rather than loosening them.
