- 1×pro snake RG58 50 Ω coaxial cable, BNC to BNC, 10 m
O equipamento
Sobre este equipamento
A 10 m pro snake RG58 coaxial cable with BNC connectors at both ends. RG58 is a 50 Ω cable of about 5 mm diameter, the impedance used for RF antenna connections on wireless microphone receivers, in-ear monitor transmitters, antenna splitters and combiners. It is not an SDI video cable: SDI needs 75 Ω coax and connectors.
Use it to move a receiver or IEM antenna away from the rack, for example onto a stand at the side of the stage with clear line of sight to the performers, or to link a remote antenna to a splitter in the RF rack. RG58 is thin and easy to route, but it loses more signal at UHF than thicker cable such as RG8X, so check RF levels in a walk test and use thicker cable or an inline booster if the signal is marginal.
Destaques
- 0150 Ω RG58 coax (about 5 mm), the impedance used by UHF wireless mic and IEM antenna systems
- 02BNC connectors at both ends to match common receiver, splitter and combiner antenna ports
- 0310 m length for placing antennas off the rack with line of sight to the stage
- 04Thin and flexible; higher UHF loss than RG8X, so walk-test longer runs
Perguntas frequentes
Perguntas sobre este equipamento
No. SDI needs 75 Ω cable and connectors; this is 50 Ω RF cable. The impedance mismatch causes reflections and shortens reliable SDI distance.
Coaxial cable passes the DC bias voltage that some receivers and splitters supply to active antennas or boosters, so it works as long as your equipment provides that power.
Loss in RG58 rises with frequency and length, so it is noticeable over 10 m at UHF. Check RF levels in a walk test and switch to thicker cable or an inline booster if the signal is marginal.
