O equipamento

Sobre este equipamento

The F40 is SmallRig's compact manual follow focus for mirrorless and DSLR rigs. It slides onto a single 15mm rod held by the supplied clamp, which also carries a NATO rail, and drives the lens through a detachable 0.8 MOD 43-tooth gear. Two removable hard stops set A/B marks, a marking disc takes focus notes, and the unit weighs 195 g.

Photo lenses without built-in gears get one of the two included rings, a silicone gear ring or a snap-on gear belt. There is nothing to charge or pair: the knob turns the lens directly, which keeps it dependable for interviews, product work and small narrative shoots where a focus puller or the operator wants repeatable marks.

Perguntas frequentes

Perguntas sobre este equipamento

No. It is a manual, mechanical follow focus: the knob drives the lens gear directly through a 0.8 MOD gear.

Cine lenses with 0.8 MOD gears engage directly. Photo lenses need a gear ring; the kit includes a silicone gear ring and a snap-on gear belt.

It slides onto the included 15mm rod, held by a rod clamp with a NATO rail that fits a cage's NATO clamp. SmallRig designs it to sit on the left side of the lens.
