The gear

About this gear

The RF Venue 4 ZONE-Network is a 1U active antenna combiner for wireless microphones, covering 470-960 MHz. It merges up to four diversity antenna pairs on eight BNC inputs into one A/B output pair, so one receiver system can cover four separate areas. Each input can be switched on or off, attenuated from 0 to -31 dB in 1 dB steps and given 12 V DC (200 mA) for active antennas or in-line amplifiers. The network version adds an RJ45 LAN port, so settings, zone status and presets are reachable from a browser.

Use it when one system has to follow presenters between a main stage and breakout rooms, indoor and outdoor areas, or a divisible hall. Here it sits between Sennheiser A 1031-U antennas and the EW-DX EM 4 Dante, whose built-in splitter takes the A/B output directly. Unused zones can be switched off remotely mid-show.

FAQ

Questions about this gear

Yes. RF Venue designs it to work with any brand within 470-960 MHz; it combines antenna signals before the receivers or their antenna splitter.

Not with receivers that have one built in, such as the Sennheiser EW-DX EM 4 Dante. For receivers without one, feed the A/B output into an antenna distribution unit covering their frequency range.

Connect the RJ45 port to the network and open the combiner's web interface on a computer or tablet to switch zones, set attenuation and DC power, and recall presets. The front-panel controls stay available.

Yes. Each input can supply 12 V DC (up to 200 mA) over the coax to active antennas or in-line amplifiers on long cable runs.
