The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063) is the second generation of Tamron's f/2.8 standard zoom for full-frame Sony E-mount. A VXD linear motor drives the autofocus, the optics use 17 elements in 15 groups, and close focus is 0.18 m at the wide end. It weighs 540 g and has a 67 mm filter thread.
A USB-C port lets you update firmware and adjust lens settings through Tamron Lens Utility, and the lens is moisture resistant with a fluorine-coated front element. It is an everyday zoom for interviews, events, corporate video and documentaries on an A7S III, FX3 or A7R V, and it shares 67 mm filters with Tamron's 17-28mm and 70-300mm. There is no optical stabilisation.
