The gear
About this gear
The 735 is SmallRig's basic crab clamp: an aluminium-alloy body with rubber pads in the jaw, a stainless T-bar to tighten it, and 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for mounting. It opens from 15 to 40 mm, carries up to 1.5 kg and weighs 130 g.
It is a cheap, quick way to put a small monitor, LED panel, wireless receiver or ball head onto a light stand, pole, table edge or shelf, usually with a magic arm or ball head in between. The 1/4" thread takes arms and ball heads, and the 3/8" thread takes larger accessories and stand adapters. For heavier items, or anything rigged above people, use a bigger clamp and a safety line.

FAQ
Questions about this gear
15 to 40 mm. That covers most light-stand risers, poles and rails, but not standard 48-51 mm truss tube.
SmallRig rates it at 1.5 kg, enough for small monitors, receivers and LED panels. Use a larger clamp for anything heavier.
No. The T-bar tightens the jaw by hand, and accessories screw straight into the 1/4" or 3/8" thread.
