The gear
About this gear
SmallRig's 4862 kit pairs a 52 cm articulating magic arm with a super clamp, so a monitor, light, small camera or audio receiver can go almost anywhere: a truss, a pole, a table edge, a railing or a stand. The aluminium clamp grips round tubes of about 10 to 55 mm and flat surfaces up to about 30 mm on silicone pads, and SmallRig rates it for 15 kg. The arm takes up to 3 kg and locks with a large lever on its centre joint; its base fixes into the clamp's anti-twist 5/8" socket, and on top an L-shaped accessory plate with a sliding 1/4"-20 screw positions the load. A double-ended 1/4"-20 to 3/8"-16 stud is included for mounting the clamp on its own.
On productions it hangs confidence monitors off truss, puts POV cameras on desks and rails, and holds small lights and wireless receivers where there is no room for a stand.

Yes on standard 48-51 mm truss tubes, which sit inside the clamp's roughly 10 to 55 mm range. Flat surfaces such as a table edge work up to about 30 mm thick.
