About this gear
A 5 m USB 3.0 extension with a USB-A plug at one end and a USB-A socket at the other, rated for 5 Gbps and backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices. UGREEN uses tinned copper conductors with aluminium-foil shielding inside a nylon-braided jacket, and both connectors sit in aluminium housings.
It moves a webcam, capture device, licence dongle, keyboard or USB drive to where it is needed, for example from a PC under a desk up to a camera position or the front of a rack. USB 3.0 is sensitive to cable length, so avoid chaining it with other extensions. For longer distances, use an active or fibre USB extender instead.

Yes. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible; a USB 2.0 device simply runs at USB 2.0 speed.
