The gear
About this gear
ZowiePTZ is a 4K pan-tilt-zoom camera built around a Sony 1/2.3-inch back-illuminated sensor, here with the 25x optical zoom lens. HDMI (up to 4K30), 3G-SDI (up to 1080p60) and certified NDI|HX3 run simultaneously with embedded audio, and it can also stream RTSP, SRT and RTMP(S) on its own. Control is by IP VISCA, NDI, serial VISCA or Pelco over RS-232/422/485, or the web interface, with up to 255 presets.
A front tally light follows programme and preview from NDI switchers such as vMix, and the camera takes power from PoE or a 12 V DC supply, so one network cable can carry video, control, tally and power. That makes it a quick way to add wide, reverse or audience angles at conferences, worship services and esports desks without a crewed camera.

FAQ
Questions about this gear
It outputs NDI|HX3, the compressed low-latency NDI format, and is NDI HX3 certified. Receivers running NDI 5 or later, such as vMix, can take it directly.
Yes. It accepts VISCA over IP and NDI control, so it works with network PTZ controllers such as the Zowietek ZowieKBD, plus serial VISCA or Pelco.
Not on PoE: a PoE switch port powers it over the network cable. Otherwise it runs from a 12 V DC supply.
The SDI output is 3G, up to 1080p60. When HDMI is set to 4K, the SDI output switches to the matching 1080p format.
