The gear
About this gear
Sirui's SVM is a three-section carbon fibre video monopod with a 36 mm tube and a single twist lock that frees or locks all sections in one turn. The SVM-165 extends to 165 cm (the SVM-145 to 145 cm), weighs about 1.5 kg and is rated to 10 kg, and the top thread self-adapts to 1/4" or 3/8" heads.
The SVM-LF pedal base attaches underneath, gives the monopod three fold-out feet and adds 20° of tilt and 360° rotation, operated by a pedal. That makes it a fast, small-footprint support for event and sports coverage, run-and-gun interviews and tight spaces where tripod legs won't fit. The modular parts also split into a shorter pole or a tabletop stand.

Questions about this gear
Sirui lists 165 cm maximum and 82 cm retracted for the SVM-165, and 145 cm and 75 cm for the SVM-145.
Any head with a 1/4" or 3/8" mount: the top thread self-adapts to both sizes.
The SVM-LF base gives it three feet so it stays upright with a light hand on it. It is a monopod support, not a replacement for a tripod with an unattended camera.
About 1.5 kg for the monopod (1.49-1.52 kg depending on length) plus 0.72 kg for the SVM-LF base.
