Percon's FO410DMPUR/ARMOURED is a tactical broadcast cable from the Barcelona cable maker: four tight-buffered G.657.A1 single-mode fibres (9/125 µm) under metallic armour and a black PUR outer jacket. Percon specifies it for indoor, outdoor and mobile use: gel-free for easy stripping, rodent-protected, flame-retardant, low-smoke and halogen-free. The jacket print rates it from −40 °C to 70 °C. This drum holds 250 m.
Single-mode optics are typically rated for kilometres, so 250 m is well within their reach. Pair it with single-mode modules at both ends, such as 1000BASE-LX or 10GBASE-LR optics or the single-mode NovaStar SFPs fitted in our Blackmagic Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G units; the four fibres allow two duplex links at once. Use it between a remote camera position, a stage and the production gallery.
