The gear
About this gear
A one-way converter: a single HDMI input comes out on two SDI outputs carrying the same signal. It works at SD, HD and 3G-SDI rates up to 1080p60, including the 1080p24, 1080p47.95 and 1080p48 film rates, and 3G-SDI output can be switched between Level A and Level B in Blackmagic's setup utility. Power is taken from the USB-C port, with consumption of just 2 W.
Typical jobs are getting a mirrorless camera, a laptop or a graphics machine onto an SDI switcher or a long coax run, with the second output going to a recorder or a monitor at the source. This version has no mains adapter of its own, so it takes power from a laptop, monitor or USB-C charger nearby.

Questions about this gear
No, this is the version without a PSU. It powers from a USB-C source delivering 4.4 to 5.25 V, such as a laptop, monitor or USB-C charger.
No. It outputs SD and HD formats up to 1080p60 over 3G-SDI. Ultra HD sources need a 12G converter.
Both carry the same converted signal, so one can feed a switcher or recorder while the other goes to a monitor or a second destination.
