About this gear
The ATEM 2 M/E Constellation HD is a 1RU broadcast switcher with 20 3G-SDI inputs, 12 SDI aux outputs and two multiviewers, each configurable up to 16 views. It runs two mix/effect buses with 8 upstream keyers (all with advanced chroma), 2 downstream keyers, 2 DVEs, a SuperSource and 2 media players holding 40 stills. Audio goes through a 48-channel Fairlight mixer with 6-band parametric EQ and dynamics. Formats run from 720p50 to 1080p60.
There is no full control surface on the unit: it is driven from ATEM Software Control on a Mac or PC, or from an ATEM Advanced Panel. The second M/E lets you build a separate mix for an in-venue screen or a sponsor feed while the main programme runs, and the 12 aux outputs cover LED walls, recorders and stream encoders. At one rack unit it fits easily into a compact flight-case rack.
