The gear

About this gear

DJI Mic 2 is a two-person 2.4 GHz wireless kit: two clip-on transmitters with built-in omnidirectional capsules, one receiver with a touchscreen and dial, and a charging case that also pairs the units. Each transmitter has 8 GB of internal storage, about 14 hours of 24-bit or 11 hours of 32-bit float backup recording. DJI rates 6 hours per transmitter and receiver, and 160 m range under CE rules in open, interference-free space.

The receiver feeds a camera through the 3.5 mm cable, or a phone through the USB-C or Lightning adapter, which covers interviews, vox pops, behind-the-scenes and social content. A transmitter can also pair straight to a phone over Bluetooth, and internal recording is the safety net if the link drops.

FAQ

Questions about this gear

DJI quotes 160 m under CE rules (250 m FCC), measured outdoors with no obstructions or interference. Walls, bodies and busy 2.4 GHz environments shorten that considerably.

Yes. Each transmitter records internally to 8 GB, about 14 hours at 24-bit or 11 hours in 32-bit float, and the WAV files export over USB.

Yes, through the included USB-C or Lightning adapter on the receiver, or by pairing a transmitter directly to the phone over Bluetooth.

DJI rates 6 hours per transmitter and receiver with internal recording off. The case recharges two transmitters and the receiver about twice and takes about 2 h 40 min to refill.
