The gear
About this gear
DJI Mic 3 is a two-transmitter, one-receiver wireless kit with a charging case. The transmitters weigh 16 g with magnet, record internally to 32 GB in 24-bit or 32-bit float, and run about 8 hours; the receiver runs about 10 hours. DJI quotes up to 400 m with two transmitters in open, interference-free conditions, and 80 m in a simulated high-interference test. The receiver also handles LTC timecode in and out.
On set it covers two-person interviews and presenter work into a camera, phone or computer, with internal recording as a backup track. The receiver accepts up to four transmitters (extra units not included), and the timecode output helps line up multi-camera material in the edit.
Highlights

FAQ
Questions about this gear
Yes. The receiver takes LTC in on 3.5 mm and outputs LTC or audio timecode at frame rates from 23.98 to 60. DJI quotes under one frame of drift in 24 hours.
Each has 32 GB built in: about 57 hours of 24-bit or 43 hours of 32-bit float in single-file mode, roughly half that with dual-file recording.
The 400 m figure is for two transmitters in open, interference-free space with Lossless Audio off. Lossless Audio halves it to 200 m, and DJI measured 80 m in a high-interference test.
Yes, with the optional DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter (not included), which puts the receiver on Sony's MI hot shoe for digital audio and camera power.
