About this gear
The Sennheiser EW-DP 835 SET is a fully digital wireless handheld kit built for video. It pairs an EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter, fitted with the dynamic cardioid MMD 835 capsule and a mute switch, with the EW-DP EK portable receiver. This R1-6 version works between 520 and 576 MHz, with up to 56 MHz of switching bandwidth, 1.9 ms system latency and 134 dB of dynamic range. The receiver weighs about 140 g, fits on a camera with the supplied mounting kit, has a headphone output, and is set up and monitored over Bluetooth with Sennheiser's Smart Assist app.
Use it for interviews, vox pops, reporter stand-ups and event hosts, recording straight into a camera or an audio recorder. The receiver's lockable 3.5 mm output goes to a camera's mic input with the 3.5 mm cable, or to an XLR input with the XLR cable. Both units run on a BA 70 rechargeable battery or two AA cells, and the receiver also takes USB-C power. Sennheiser quotes up to 12 hours for the transmitter and up to 7 hours for the receiver.

Pair the handheld with the receiver's SYNC button, or use Sennheiser's Smart Assist app over Bluetooth to scan for free frequencies, set levels and watch battery status.
